Park’s Unblemished Record Persists as Mengo Celebrates First Triumph

On matchday four of the 2023/24 betPawa Futsal Super League climax, Park FC maintained their flawless record for the season, securing yet another victory. Meanwhile, Mengo City celebrated their inaugural triumph of the season.

Park FC continued its flawless start to the season, securing a hard-fought 4-2 victory over Lubaga Grameen at Old Kampala Futsal Arena.

The first half concluded with a 1-all draw, as Gibran Nduhukire’s early strike for Park was matched by Lubaga’s Herbert Kalema. However, the second half saw Derrick Walugembe score twice, and Abasi Muluya finding the net once, solidifying Park’s fourth consecutive win.

With this triumph, Park now shares the league summit with Kisenyi and FC Luzira, all boasting a perfect 12-point record.

Prior to Park’s success, Mengo City impressed in their encounter against Edgars Youth Programme. Farouk Tumwesigye, making his first start of the season, shone by scoring five goals, contributing to Mengo’s convincing 9-2 victory. Male Antony (3) and Hersi Mohammed added to the score, while Brian Olwa and Amiri Wasswa netted consolations for Edgars.

In another riveting match, Nansana ASKA held on to defeat Kisugu FC 4-3, despite leading 3-0 at halftime. Carlos Kaddu’s brace and Ali Miti’s opener set the tone, with Ali Mukiibi (2) and Hashim Ali (1) responding for Kisugu. Hussein Dahir secured ASKA’s crucial goal, securing their third victory of the season.

Matchday five is scheduled to kick off on Thursday, 21st December, concluding on Friday, 22nd December 2023.
