Edgars, KJT and Luzira victorious as betPawa Futsal Super League kicks-off

Edgars Youth Programme, Kampala Junior Team (KJT), and Luzira FC emerged victorious as the 2023/24 betPawa Futsal Super League season kicked off on Thursday evening.

Edgars Youth Programme clinched the first win of the season, defeating Aidenal 5-3 with crucial contributions from Waiswa Amiri and Male Derrick, each scoring a brace.

Despite Aidenal’s efforts, Mwebaza Lameck’s brace couldn’t secure the win.

In the second match, Luzira FC overcame a two-goal deficit against Kabowa Dream Team, triumphing 3-2 in the second half. Aziku Joshua and Vincent Abigaba scored for Luzira, along with an own goal by Alvin Nsamba.

Kampala Junior Team dominated, defeating newcomers Kawempe FC 6-1. Captain Jurua Francis scored twice, and Alvin Ssekiziyivu, Kimbugwe Reagan, Joel Kizza, and Ajuna Jordan added one goal each. Arafat Luwangula scored Kawempe’s consolation.

Matchday one continues on Friday with three exciting games: Kisenyi FC vs. Kisugu FC, Lubaga Grameen vs. Mengo City, and Nasana ASKA vs. Park FC.
