Five schools confirm participation in the Inaugural Primary Schools Futsal League

Schools

Five Primary Schools have so far confirmed their participation in the Inaugural Primary Schools Futsal League.

Twinbrooks International School, Landmark Junior School, Ray of Grace Primary School, White Angels Primary School, and The Teletubbies are the confirmed teams that will take part in the pilot project for both boys and girls.

All the above schools will enter two teams ( one boy’s team and one girl’s team) per age category, starting from Under 11-13.

This league is designed by Futsal Association Uganda ( FAU) in a way that it offers a balanced program between the futsal sport and educational content.

The balance between sport and education will create awareness about the role of sports in putting forward topics such as fair play, healthy lifestyle (balance between body, mind, and soul), respect, the joy of effort, and the pursuit of excellence, which are all Olympic sport values.

The Futsal Primary Schools League is a team competition so team results will be awarded by trophies, medals, and certificates at the end of the cycle- the end of the 3 rounds

Hence each class plays a role in school winning thus increasing participation.

Age groups and competition windows for each

1. Primary 5 /U11 Years of Age ( 9,10 Years)- October &November.

2. Primary 6/U12 Years of Age (11 and 12 Years)- June & July.

3. Primary 7/U13 (12 and 13Years)- February & March 2024.
