FAU partners with online broadcaster

All official Futsal Association Uganda competitions action shall be available across all leading online platforms-Facebook, YouTube most particularly.

This follows a milestone stride by FAU to package its content and avail it to all interested groups through partnering with an online broadcasting company-Deep End Sports.

FAU and Deep End Sports signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Saturday 26th 2020 to effect the partnership.

Speaking at the contract signing ceremony, FAU CEO Ibrahim Mugera expressed that there was looming desire to easily avail futsal content to the fans and any other interested parties as a tool to sell the game to Ugandans.

“Today is a great day for the game of futsal in Uganda as we have signed this Memorandum of Understanding with Deep End Sports Media.

“Deep End Sports Media is an online broadcast company and what this MOU brings to the game of futsal is that Deep End Sports gets to record, broadcast and distribute all futsal games inclusive of the pregame and postgame material on all online media and futsal sports media.

This is an opportunity for futsal as a game as this aims at creating more game awareness for the game especially on online media platforms. This is a great milestone for futsal as a game in the country and the Association” said Mugera

Zini Jurua the Deep End Sports Media Operations Manager exclaimed about the patnership with FAU and promised exquisite service to the everyone.

“We are very excited to get into a partnership with Futsal Uganda. We shall be streaming live the games of futsal. All you have to do is to go to YouTube and search for Deep End Sports Media. We shall also be having live shows before and after the game and also interview players before and after the games “said Jurua

This partnership is an endeavor by FAU to create it’s own content for consumption by the public, to market and promote the game and also dig a stream for revenue in the long run through generating commercially viable content more interesting through the Futsal Super League, Futsal Corporate tournament and Futsal Uganda Cup.

Due to the rapid changes over recent years, which marks a fundamental shift in audience attitudes and consumption as the trend evolves towards online viewing, FAU seeks to tap into that opportunity just like any other in order to bring its activities and the game closer to everyone.
