Kabowa advance to quarters as First Touch Sports secures first victory

Kabowa Dream Team have become the first team to advance to the quarterfinals of the 2023 Futsal Uganda Cup.

This is after they overcame All Stars Kampala Association (ASKA) 2-0 in a game played at Old Kampala Futsal Arena on Friday night.

Both those two Kabowa goals came early on in second half through Abdul Bukenya ana Kasibante Hannington’s strikes.

With that victory, Kabowa move to maximum six points garnered in their two games and consequently advance to the quarterfinals of the prestigious competition.

For ASKA, they remain on three points and will need to beat First Touch Sports in their last group game to secure a slot in the last 8.

In the latter game of the day, First Touch Sports beat Friends of Football 2-0 for their first group victory to move to three points collected in their two games.

The cup competition will resume next Friday with the group C action. Kisenyi FC will battle Mengo City in seek for their first victory while God Glory-Katale will take on Pitch Pirates
