Pitch Pirates and Kisenyi FC have secured their spots in this year’s Futsal Uganda Cup.
Pitch Pirates clinched the top spot in Group C by defeating Mengo City 4-2, earning nine points from their three games. Captain Male Antony scored a remarkable three goals, while Jurua Francis netted the fourth.
Mengo City, despite two goals from Umar Ssebuliba, were disappointed to be eliminated in the group stages.
Kisenyi FC also advanced to the quarter-finals with two wins in their three games, scoring six goals against God’s Glory-Katale in their second victory.
Sharmake Ahmed Osman scored a hat-trick, Shafii Dirir Mohammad contributed a brace, and Ismael Warsame Pilm added one more.
Pitch Pirates and Kisenyi now join Park FC, Kabowa Dream, Edgars’ Youth Programme, FC Luzira, and First Touch Sports in the next round.
The final group stage matches will be played next Friday, with Park FC facing Motion Sports, while Al Haramen takes on Yeak Kabowa. Both Al Haramen and Yeak Kabowa have three points from two games, having defeated Motion Sports in the group stage.
