The Futsal Association Uganda ( FAU) has named the officials who will handle the 2023 Futsal Uganda Cup opener between Edgars’ Youth Programme and Makerere University on Friday evening at O’Kla Futsal Arena, Old Kampala.
Nsubuga Emmy will be the main referee and will be assisted by Ssengendo Isaac and Ismail Mulindwe as his first and second assistants respectively.
Mukisa Calvin Grace will be in charge of keeping the time on the touchline for this game.
This will be the first match that opens up the 2023 Futsal Uganda Cup, will adopt a different format from all the past editions.
The tournament will have four rounds in total, starting with the group stages round. The second round will be quarterfinals to decide the four teams which will progress to round three – the semifinals
The semi-final and the finale will be played in the best-of-three format to decide the 2023/24 winner.
